1) How to create your Google Analytics account,
2) How to install Google Analytics tracking code to an Ecommerce store on Shopify, and
3) How to properly configure it into Ecommerce set up to make sure you’re getting the best out of this powerful free tool.

First step: Create your Google Analytics account
Second step: Install the tracking code to your site
- Tracking info, get ID
- Shopify backend > Paste
- Check if the code in place
- , view-source: UA-
- GA – Send test traffic
Note: It takes around 24 – 48 hours for data to start recording

Third step: Configure it for E-commerce Setup
- Enable the E-commerce Set up: View Settings >

- Currency of your site: View Settings > Timezone Currency displayed as
- Site search, enable (I’ll put a link below on a tutorial on how and why you should enable this)
- Enable Demographics and Interest Reports > Property > Enable Demographics and Interest Reports and User Analysis
- Enable Advertising features: Property Setting > Tracking Info > Data Collection
- Google Ads > Link it up
- Exclude IP address traffic, View > Filter
