Earlier today, I walked into a client meeting that quietly reminded me why marketing is changing fast.
We’ve been working with this client since 2024. Back then, they had two branches. Today, I was sitting in their fourth location, with another one opening soon. Being part of that growth feels personal.
We were doing our usual annual review. Visibility, traffic, bookings, real intent. The numbers looked good. But something else stood out.
Their business was already being recommended by AI. Not because we pushed hard on it, but because their foundation was strong enough to be picked up as an answer.
And that’s the shift. In 2026, customers are no longer just searching.
They’re asking. They’re having conversations with AI and trusting those answers to decide where to go and who to choose.
If your business isn’t part of those answers, you’re leaving revenue on the table.
So we didn’t talk about replacing Google marketing. We talked about expanding the playbook. Making sure they show up not just in searches, but in conversations.
The real takeaway is this. Growth going forward won’t come from doing more of the same. It will come from showing up where decisions are actually being made.
And that future is already here.
